Dr Sabin

Dr. David B. Sabin, OD

Dr. David Sabin is a board-certified optometrist dedicated to providing thorough, personalized eye care for patients in Tampa. He specializes in comprehensive vision exams, contact lens fittings, and medical eye care, combining clinical experience with a patient-first approach.

Dr. Sabin earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Michigan State University and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. He completed residency training at the Gainesville VAMC in association with NOVA Southeastern University, with a focus on hospital-based eye care and ocular disease.

Our Advanced Eye Disease Clinic focuses on the diagnosis, monitoring, and management of conditions that can threaten long-term vision and eye health. We provide care for patients with diabetes, macular degeneration, Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) use, and dry eye disease using advanced diagnostic technology and personalized treatment plans. From early detection to ongoing follow-up, we are committed to helping protect your vision with thorough, compassionate care.

DIABETIC eye care clinic

High blood sugar levels can damage blood vessels throughout the body, including your eyes. The part of the eye most affected by diabetes is the sensory layer in the back of the eye called the retina.

Macular degeneration Clinic

Group of conditions that include deterioration of the macular, resulting in a loss of sharp central vision.  Most common cause of decreased vision after age 50

glaucoma clinic

Group of diseases characterized by increased intraocular pressure resulting in damage to the optic nerve, with typical visual field defects and increased size of optic cup.

DRY EYE clinic

Dry eye disease, also called keratoconjunctivitis sicca or ocular surface disease, is a chronic condition caused by either decreased tear production or increased tear film evaporation.
